Your account. Your email address, a password (stored scrambled by our sign-in provider, so we never see it), your display name, and a profile picture link if you add one. If you sign in with Google or Apple, they share your name and email address with us (Apple lets you hide your email behind a private relay address).
What you add to your clubs. The clubs you create or join, the books you add (title, author, cover, genre, description, page count, and any cover image you upload), your to-be-read lists and which books you put in the wheel, whether you share your full list, the club's picks and history, and the ratings, reviews, comments, and reading progress you post.
If you get Plus. Whether you have Plus, your subscription status, and the customer and subscription IDs Stripe gives us. Stripe handles your payment details; we never see or store your full card number. Host kits store your club's meeting date, place and host.
Things saved on your device. Your browser keeps you signed in, remembers which club you were last looking at, remembers which book covers we've already looked up, and remembers your reading-reminder days and time. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Reading reminders are saved in your own calendar app, not by us.
If you turn on notifications in the iPhone app. A notification address for your phone from Apple, so we can send you club updates, and which kinds of updates you want. Notifications only say things like who made progress or which book was picked — never the text of discussion notes. Signing out or turning notifications off stops them. Reading reminders you set in the app are scheduled on your phone itself.
Basic visit statistics. Our hosting provider records general statistics about visits, such as pages viewed, device type, and country, which help us see how the app is used.
We don't sell or rent your information. We share it only with services that help us run the app:
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account yourself at any time from "Delete my account" on your profile page, and it's removed right away. If you ask us by email instead, we delete it within 30 days. Copies may remain in backups for a short time after that. Book details you added may stay in the shared catalog without your name attached, and clubs you started pass to another member.
Page & Spin is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email marinasamuel16@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
We use the security protections of our hosting and sign-in providers, and club information is only shown to the members it belongs to. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you don't use elsewhere.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.
